patience is a virtue

well, i decided to hang out with some different people from my class last night. i wanted to at least try to hook up with one of these girls from class, it being my last saturday night and all. long story short, not only did i manage to hook up, but it was with the girl from my previous post. needless to say, she didn't disappoint.
too bad she is going to be based in newark. actually, that'll probably be a good thing as i certainly don't want to start off this job tied down.
funny to think that i was getting my driver's permit around the same time this girl was born.
on another note, i have a test tomorrow, and my final is on tuesday. the final consists of 3 seperate parts. then on wednesday, i have my IOE (Initial Operating Experience) flight, then graduation is thursday.
this has really gone by quickly. i've made some great friends, some of which i hope to keep forever, some that i will be glad to be rid of. i won't miss any of the drama, but i will miss the rest.

so very frustrated

so i decided to take the high road and not take advantage of a younger intoxicated hottie. it just seemed to be an invitation to too many possible problems with regards to the completion of my training. the downside is that i am now more sexually frustrated than ever (and that is really saying something).
i went to sleep relatively early and woke up early today and have already done my laundry.
i awoke in the middle of the night last night, and i guess it was the way my arm was wrapped over my head or something, but my entire right arm was completely numb. it was really freaky. my hand was just flopping around like a dead limb. it took a minute or two to get full feeling back. not a nice way to wake up, i can assure you.

pursuit of happyness....

ok, so i went with a couple of girls from class to see the will smith movie. feel-good fare all around. before the movie i was talking to tonya and was telling her how i'm not too good at picking up subtle hints from women.
got back to the hotel and one of the other girls from class (who happens to be a ripe young 22 years old, and really hot, i might add) was hanging out outside having a smoke and talking to a girl from one of the newer classes. she came up to me, obviously had had a few drinks, and put her arm around me and rubbed my chest and said "he's the only straight guy i'm attracted to" at which point tonya looked at me and said "definitely not a subtle hint there".
then the girl said something about being here 3 weeks (inferring that she was ready to screw pretty much anything with a penis and a pulse) and then asked me if she could come up to my room in a bit to use my computer.
so here i sit, awaiting her call.
i'm not really expecting her to come up, but she sure did get my adrenaline pumping.
i can't even eat my whataburger.
ain't that a bitch?

oh, and another thing......

there is this raging queen that is in my class who apparently is in love with me. we were friends, but now that he finally got it through his delusional mind that there is not a chance in hell that he is ever gonna get his way with me, he is avoiding me altogether.
ah, the drama.....

yes, i want to eat many many pies.

pies and pies-es
of all shapes and sizes.
pies and pies-es
between the thigh-ses.
fuckin-a. i need to get laid.
too bad i'm not gay, because i'd have it made.
but as it stands, i'm not into man hands
i want mammary glands
and those warm pink wet clams.
as you may have now guessed
i am somewhat obsessed

OB flight

no, not the tampons. i have an observation flight tomorrow. i'll be flying to tuscon az with a couple of the girls from my class. it'll be my first time on an airplane in almost 10 years. i'm really excited. other than that, class is getting more interesting by the day as we learn more about the equipment and actually getting to do drills. yesterday we put out fires and learned about the different types of oxygen onboard an aircraft (chemical vs gaseous, etc). today we started learning emergency procedures and watched a couple of films. one was about an airliner that lost both engines while going from canada to spain and glided for 70 miles and actually landed and no one was injured....freaking amazing. the other was one that involved a dc-10 that had to be evacuated on the runway prior to takeoff because there were gas fumes in the cabin. not quite as eventful, but still extremely informative. well, i must read for a while before going to bed as i have a busy day tomorrow.

1 test down.....

....i had my first major exam yesterday and i made 100%, so i'm feeling really positive. i had to take my physical yesterday as well. i am a little nervous about the drug test. not because i had anything to smoke, but because of the memory of the time i failed a drug test while on probation when i hadn't been smoking. a little paranoia goes a long way when it can negatively effect your life. all i can do at this point is cross my fingers and hope for the best. like the lady at the clinic said, "no news is good news"

end of first week

ok, i've made it through my first week. everything is going well. i'm getting to know everyone better and better and am really having a great time. i made a 100 on my pop quiz today so i am feeling good about that. i am off tomorrow and have my first major test on monday. i am probably going to lay low tonight and just enjoy sleeping in. i haven't been posting alot because there really is a lot of reading so i don't have a heck of a lot of free time.
anyhoo, i am going to go grab some grub and watgch a movie and relax.
in the meantime, enjoy this hilarious video.

day 1

well, as to be expected, there are many many hot women in my class. there are 49 of us (for now), it'll be interesting to see how many are left at the end. our instructors are cool and seem really interested in doing everything to ensure that everyone makes it all the way through to graduation. my roommate is extremely cool. oddly enough, he is gay. who would have thought that a gay male would want to be a flight attendant? anyway, not much more to say at the moment, so see you tomorrow.

My last Friday of my extended "vacation"

Well, in a little more than 48 hours I will be checking in to my hotel. This will be my temporary home while I am in training for 4 1/2 weeks to become a Continental Airlines flight attendant. This marks the end of my old life as an office drone, and the beginning of my new life. I am hopeful that this new career path will be one that I will actually enjoy for a change, as the last 10 years have been spent toiling away in front of a computer screen, with no real future to look forward to, nor any benefits of any real....benefit.
Some may say that I will merely be a waitress in the sky....to all of you I say: I'll be thinking of you while I am traveling the world for free on my days off (not to mention getting paid to travel when I am on the clock)......so blow me.
I am reviving the bronze johnson blog to keep a running diary of my experiences while in training and my experiences afterwards....
